Wednesday Weirdness: Find Your Inner Super Hero

Posted By Suzanne Carvlin on July 15, 2009

You love parties, you love costumes and you love dressing up.

You also love to help out “the little guy,” a person in need, and someone who just needs a good ol’ fashioned rescue.

Perhaps your passion for these things has taken you to the next level.

I am referring, of course, to caped crusaders and super heroes. What else?

You can unleash your inner passion and dress up as your favorite super hero OR you can become your very own, unique super hero with your own special powers. (No need to prove that you have special powers. Just saying that you have them carries a lot of weight in some circles.)
And, should you feel so inclined, you can register your super hero self here:
If I were a super hero, I would want to be her:
(That’s She-ra, the Princess of Power, but I’m sure that she is trademarked to the hilt, or at least that giant shimmery-pink sword that she brandishes, so obviously I would never use her name. I merely bow to her mighty girly-greatness.)
Oh, and if you do register your super hero, please, please, pretty please comment and send a photo of yourself and your super hero name! You make this world a fun (and more safe) place to be!
And one last thing. If this is your bag, I HIGHLY recommend, checking out Joss Whedon and team’s video series titled “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” (see http://doctorhorrible.net). It stars Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, and Felicia Day and it is spectacular. Really. I even purchased the amazingly awesome songs on iTunes. Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along-Blog is now on DVD and rentable on Netflix or you can watch it on Hulu here:
About 4 minutes in, the singing begins, so wait for it. It pays in spades!
Party on!
